You can now legally “cheat” at trading

In a game of cards, everyone has the same odds to win. You have to wait your turn before playing your hand, and you don’t have any idea what the other players are holding, right?

That’s why even the best card players can’t win every time.

Now imagine getting to peek at everyone else’s hand and to even play your cards when it isn’t your turn – the odds of winning over and over dramatically shift in your favor!

Well, you’re about to see how you can now legally “cheat” at trading…

For anyone who’s been a trader or investor for at least a week can tell you, there are some pretty strict boundaries for the vast majority of people attempting to grow their money through the financial markets…

Most notably, you can only trade securities between the hours of 9:30am and 4:00pm Eastern time.

Just like waiting your turn to play your hand in a card game, right?

Well, you can now “cheat” at trading thanks to TD Ameritrade, and possibly several other brokers that may follow suit.

You see, TD Ameritrade just announced that investors using the TD Ameritrade platform will be able to trade some of the most popular exchange-traded funds (ETFs) 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday!

Plus, the ability to do the same thing with individual stocks may be on the horizon as well!

This is an absolute game-changer. Why?

Imagine being able to trade your market-tracking ETF right after the news breaks that North Korea fired a missile at Hawaii after the market closes today.

Or imagine being able to buy a gold ETF hours after the market stopped trading for the day, right after the US dollar dropped sharply in currency trading. That would effectively get you in on a near-sure thing before almost anyone else can trade it!

And that brings us to the list of ETFs that are now tradeable 24 hours a day via TD Ameritrade. Here are some of the most important ones in my eyes:

SPY – The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust allows you to speculate on the price of the S&P 500 major market index. The same came done for the Nasdaq with QQQ ETF, and for the Dow Jones with the DIA ETF.

GLD – The SPDR Gold Trust is an ETF that allows you to trade gold without having to own the physical metal.

EEM – The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF is a great way to trade emerging markets as a basket, and you can now do so 24 hours a day on TD Ameritrade.

USO – The United States Oil Fund is my favorite way to trade oil, especially right now as the commodity has been breaking out.

Go check out TD Ameritrade for the full list of 12 ETFs available to see if any other of your favorites are on the list.

And now that the Average Joe can trade these ETFs before major market news right now without having to wait for the market to open, YOU can now legally “cheat” the normal trading rules and stack the deck in your favor!
