As time moves on, new eras are born.
And when these new periods come of age, drastic changes can upheave the way things are in modern society. With some gigantic news that occurred just days ago, it’s now become evident that we’re standing on the doorstep of a new era.
Will you be ready as we enter it?
I’ve been surprised at the relatively little coverage and response to the recent news out of Paris, France. For such major news, not much attention has been paid.
But that takes nothing away from the significance of it…
I’m talking about the landmark climate deal that was just struck by so many of the world’s nations.
In essence, the deal is an agreement between almost 200 nations to cut greenhouse gases. In doing so, the hopes are that we (as in all of us) can keep the world’s temperatures down.
And although it may only appear to be a small step as of right now, we may very well look back on this agreement as the beginning of the ‘Era of Carbon Reduction’.
As a planet, we’re now focused on transitioning towards renewable energy, as the politics are finally catching up with the sentiment of most people.
This is a drastic change that we’re experiencing the very beginning of…and big change means there’s a chance to make big money – life-changing money, even.
So as an investor, what should YOU be looking at?
1. Obviously the idea is to move away from oil and coal use, so clearly we want to be bearish on those two subjects.
2. Focus on the alternative forms of energy that already have a sound base to be built on, like wind and solar energy.
3. As always, you should be looking for the tech companies hitting those industry-altering breakthroughs. Now you should know that a breakthrough in the renewable energy industry could be the most rewarding of them all.
4. And realize that this new era will separate the strong from the weak in individual sectors, such as utilities. Those that can reduce their reliance on coal and adopt renewable energy sources quicker will have the major edge moving forward.
